I was drawn to all types of sport at a very young age and continue to enjoy the many benefits that sport and exercise bring. I have been very lucky that these opportunities have been readily available to me through school, sports clubs and sports centres. I sought out some work experience at a local physiotherapists and quickly realised that these sporting and exercise opportunities are not as easily accessible to others and this has inspired me to find ways in levelling the playing field regardless of age, background, where you live and sporting ability. I came up with the 2K sprint endurance as a way of pushing myself to a higher level and to help raise awareness of the Sportinmind charity. I hope that this will encourage others to seek out ways to support the charity through volunteering, fundraising and generally promoting all the great work that you do. Sportinmind was established to give opportunities for everyone to be able to access sport and exercise, particularly when facing mental health challenges.

Event will be held on 7th November at Watford Harriers Athletics Club
