Every so often, Sport in Mind may ask attendees, volunteers, coaches, fundraisers, and supporters if they are happy to appear in photos or videos to help promote the charity's work. We are so proud of what we have achieved as a charity, so like to take any opportunity to spread the awareness of our service. These images may be used on our website, social media channels and in local, or even national, publications.

To comply with data protection laws, Sport in Mind will need to consent to be able to use your (or your child's) image in any promotional, educational, or marketing materials.

You will always be asked prior to photos being taken, or videos being recorded - and you can change your mind at any time. If you do decide that you are no longer happy for us to use your image, Sport in Mind will remove all incidences of your image immediately.

Why do we need your consent?

Without your consent, Sport in Mind cannot use any images of you in any of our publications.

Where do I give or decline consent?

You would have done this in the sign up process on upshot, on your participant form, a fundraising form or a specific photo consent form.

Why do we use images of attendees at our sessions?

Images of attendees are used to aid the promotion of the charity through social media (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.), website-based articles and in other media-based publications. We also use your image to celebrate Sport in Mind’s achievements and raise awareness of our work. What’s better than the happy smiling faces of those that attend our sessions to encourage other to join the activities we deliver!

Who else can use my image?

With your consent, images of you can be used in local media publications relating to Sport in Mind. These images and videos may be published on local or national media – as well as on approved websites. It is common for outside media agencies to have their own consent forms, which can be completed as and when required.

What are the conditions of use?

• It is your responsibility to inform Sport in Mind if you choose to amend or withdraw consent for us to use your image. It is best to contact [email protected] in this instance.
• Sport in Mind will never use your personal details or full name in an image or video, on our website or in any other publications – unless separate consent has been agreed.
